Stress at Home, Stress with Friends

Did you ever stress in your life? Did you always anger to your friends or family because of your stress? Its really give you big trouble right? Its same with me because i also face this kind of problem.

How about home?? Stress at home, stress on the job, stress in your relationships. Regardless of the source, stress can have a negative impact on your health and well-being. One of the many physical problems stress can cause is weight gain. In an October, 1998 issue of the International Journal of Obesity, researchers published a study that revealed that high stress is a “predictor for major weight gain.” In a January, 2006 article in the same publication, researchers found that stress can cause both weight loss and weight gain in men, depending on their initial body mass index.

Many people will find themselves reaching for unhealthy foods when they’re stressed. The stereotype of curling up with a quart of ice cream at the end of a bad day isn’t far from the truth. People often seek emotional comfort from foods when they can’t find it elsewhere.

In addition to craving snack foods or sweets, some people experience an increase in appetite as a reaction to stress. Doctors have learned that although the initial reaction to stress, driven by adrenaline, can decrease appetite, the lingering effects of another stress hormone, cortisol, can increase appetite. A 2001 study in Psychoneuroendocrinology indicates that women may be particularly susceptible to this type of stress eating.

Our bodies are designed to react to stress in a fight or flight manner. Our bodies produce adrenaline to help us deal with the immediate stress. After that initial burst of energy, our bodies produce cortisol to increase appetite and replenish our food stores. The problem arises in that we seldom output enough energy in the fight or flight stage to warrant the extra calories we take in during the replenishment stage. The end result is weight gain.

While stress can make you overeat, it can also cause you to neglect your health in other ways. Many times people fail to take time to exercise, get enough sleep, or eat right when they’re under stress. All of these can contribute to weight gain. The weight gain, and the health issues it causes, can then become another source of stress in its own right. For these reasons, it’s imperative to reduce stress and avoid the problems that it brings. Huh, i hope this can help me and my friends.

Ps: Angry now? Never feel that. Just keep your body busy and you will never feel that angry feeling anymore. Maybe its hard. But its a nice advice from my friends. :)

Did Girls really need Diet?

Did you ever try any diet?

How about Vegetable diet? Did you can stand that?

The average medical man is an advocate of a mixed diet. In my experience he advises his patients to eat one-fourth of what he consumes as animal food. The vegetarian, on the contrary, declines flesh altogether, and he has some excellent reasons, although he goes a little too far as an advocate of the system he follows. Man, however, who can eat what he likes, declines both of these courses, and makes flesh in some form his Alpha and Omega at each of the three real meals of the day.

A vegetarian is apparently one who abstains from all animal food, with the exception of eggs and milk and its products. As the need for economy has given great encouragement to abstention from meat on account of its price, this system of feeding the body has obtained greater prominence than ever before, and it is quite probable that the advantage which many derive from it will largely expand the ranks of vegetarians.

It may be well to examine the claims of vegetarians and of meat-eaters respectively, and, as I have had an almost unique experience, I take up the task.

The vegetarian asserts that flesh-eating is not only injurious to the body, but to the mind, and therefore to the supreme happiness of man; and that, on the contrary, vegetable food contributes to both moral and physical health and long life.

That meat is a costly, extravagant, unnecessary, and an unscriptural food.

That flesh-eating is more deadly than alcohol-drinking, inasmuch as it is the direct, or indirect, cause of some of the most dangerous of organic and other diseases.

Now let us see what the meat-eater says, although it is next to impossible to find any organised claims for his favourite dishes, for he makes them the chief food of his life.

He tells us that flesh is essential for the manufacture of muscle, and thus for the provision of strength; that it is not injurious to health; and that without it man is not properly fed.

That the protein in animal food which is employed in the construction of the muscular system is better absorbed, and a greater conserver of energy, than the protein of plants.

That a vegetable feeder must consume a much larger quantity of food than his system is construtted to deal with without disagreeable results, and that he is less energetic and less able to withstand disease.

Ps: I believe many girls always want to keep their diet. You can do any diet method. But please girls, never overdid that. I will feel bad for that :(
